After hanging up his cleats from a 5-year NFL career, Jordan Pugh struggled to find his next purpose and adrenaline rush. He started PPT Elite in 2016 as a training facility for athletes, but soon players were asking him to launch a 7v7 football team. Jordan fell in love with coaching and mentoring youth through football.
Seeing talented kids missing out on college opportunities, Jordan decided to take it a step further. He created Team PPT, a high school all-star team aimed at giving overlooked players increased exposure. In their first season, the roster dwindled close to the first game, but one player convinced Jordan to move forward for the chance to get film. After playing just two spring games, five players earned scholarship offers.
With this early success, Jordan focused on expanding the program. Through tournaments and other competitive events, Team PPT continued showcasing undiscovered talent. As the recruiting landscape shifts with increased transfers, Jordan aspires to bridge gaps by readying players for collegiate athletics.
Now with half a decade of coaching experience, Jordan has overseen kids’ journeys from a young age up through earning a roster spot. His dedication stems from a passion for serving his community and making a difference. Just as the NFL gave Jordan purpose in his playing days, he now achieves that adrenaline rush by changing lives with PPT Elite.
